RED ROCK

The "Red Rock" country of Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico holds a primal energy that is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Through frequent journeys to Moab and the surrounding desert plateaus, I have come to witness a daily transformation where the landscape truly comes alive. While the sandstone formations are impressive in the midday sun, the real magic reveals itself at the margins of the day. At sunrise and sunset, the light performs a masterclass in color, igniting the crimson cliffs and deep canyons into a glowing, translucent red. These photographs are an attempt to capture that fleeting, electric moment when the desert floor radiates its own warmth and the ancient silence of the Southwest is broken only by the shifting shadows of the golden hour.
